Cooking Adventures

Since we've moved into our own home I've decided to be experimental adventurous in the cooking department. I think it has gone well so far. Atleas Josh tells me the meals are good...or maybe he's just happy to get fed! ha. Well, I have tried french dip sandwiches with fall apart beef in the crockpot....it literally fell apart. I tried several times to pull the roast out of the crockpot and it kept falling apart. I think those were YUMMY. We had my family over for dinner that night and they seemed to enjoy them, Kev even had two..so that has to say something right?!?
Another night I made something called Burrito Lasagna. Sounds weird, yes. But it's actually really yummy. It's made with tortillas (as the noodles) and the sauce is made with enchilada sauce and hamburger meat...oh and there is refried beans spread on the tortillas. It was super good. I added jalapenos and anaheim peppers from our garden, I think those made it even more special! I then tried to go to the chinese side of life and made sweet and sour chicken. I must say...grease splatter got everywhere, but it was worth it. It turned out good too. What can I say...am I becoming a master chef?!? ha ha. I think not, but it's been fun experimenting! (Thank goodness for a willing husband who will try it). Sorry the pics weren't taken until after we ate....hey, we were hungry people.
