Winter...Snow...Play....

I just wanted to let everyone know...I have warmed up to the snow (now that it's turning Spring)! I liked it to a point, but never fully enjoyed it. BUT, once I actually started playing in it...I started to enjoy it! I never thought I'd say that! Josh on the other hand has always been a winter person. He loves the snow...mainly because he gets to go snowmobiling! I love watching him ride....he's in his element, I can tell how much he loves being out there and he's good at it too! We actually went a few weekends ago up by Mill Hollow, the ride was alot of fun. I don't venture of the trail much yet, but for those who did...there was over 4 feet of fresh powder with not much of a base, which definitely made for an interesting ride. I think almost everyone got stuck atleast once and some way more than that! But of course we still had alot of fun and good memories! I just hope I don't get addicted to it like some other people I know! ;)
Last weekend I was able to go up snowboarding with few of the people from my work. We are all still learning so we went up to a nice sledding area up by Brighton. There are three different hills you can go on, so we left one for the kids and tried the other two. We ended up just taking one for ourselves which was good cause we were all over the place! I went off this tiny, I mean TINY jump and landed it a few times and thought it was the coolest thing ever!! ha ha. Later that night, while in bed, I kept going over in my head what to do and how to do it...almost like I was pro or something preparing for a competition! But I'm not! Needless to say, I had alot of fun and I hope I can go more often!
So there is some of our winter memories so far....

  1. If there is one thing I miss about Utah it would be the snowmobiling trips! But don't tell Josh or my Dad - I just let them think I don't like the cold! It is so funny to go with the guys...I think they really LOVE digging others out. It's like they are just waiting and then pounce at the opportunity - I miss that! Thanks for sharing your WINTER memories - it brought back some of my own!
